So, if you all haven't already noticed this . . . I like photography. No, make that I LOVE photography. It is more than a hobby, it is more than a job I hope I can have someday. . . it is one of the most enjoyable things I could ever choose to do.
I have seriously had to make things up for me to shoot over the last few weeks. My dear family is so kind to model for me, but even their patience has a limit. So, I have had to get even more creative with what I can take pictures of. I love that I get to attempt to show off the handy-work of my Amazing God through the lens of my camera. What a life . . .
Anyways, These are just little snippets of my day today . . . in picture form :)
It rained all day long. And it rained HARD almost all day long. I decided that it was a good opportunity to use my new-ish rain boots, and dragged my sister and brother outside to take pictures of me, in my rain boots, in the rain. The sister took the pictures, the brother held the umbrella over the camera and sister taking the pictures :) Thank you Rachel and Luke for standing out in the freezing rain and looking like "dorks" with your sister :)

So, yes...this would be me jumping in puddles. It was fun...what can I say?
He had asked mom if he could go outside earlier and she had said yes not knowing how hard it was raining. He was thoroughly enjoying himself, but got called in quickly after this :)
My most favorite mug in the whole world :)

OH! I know what you mean, about loving photography. It's just amazing to me that I can capture a moment in time that'll never be repeated again. And that I can tell a story - most importantly, the story of God's redeeming work in my life and in the lives of those around me.
Just the past few days I've enjoyed jotting down and writing things I've been learning, and then photographing that. If you'd care to see some of it, go here: http://picasaweb.google.com/maid2praiz/ThoughtsOnPaper?fgl=true&pli=1#
Thanks for sharing. And yes, I've used my siblings for many an occasion, and they get used to it. Then they'll say something like that "I had to sit there for over an hour getting my picture taken...or being the assistant." But it's fun too. Sometimes it is hard cause I want SOMETHING to photograph and it doesn't seem to be there. But I find if I pick up my camera and start carrying it around the house with me, throughout my day, things WILL come up and I get to tell the story and stretch my brains! Then it gets easier the next time.
Sorry for writing a book on your blog post. Have a blessed day!

What a neat idea to overlay scripture on a window with rain! That's definitely my favorite. :)
Very cool. Everyone needs to go puddle jumping at least once a year!
So, so fun.

We should get together for a photo shoot...
