So tonight I was at Sonic, getting food for some of the kiddos, and when I went to pay for the food their little credit card machine wasn't accepting my card. I pushed the button and told the lady and she said not to worry, that when the car-hop came with my food she would swipe it for me and make it work.
I was worried though because that was the only form of payment that I had with me, so if it didn't work I wasn't going to be able to pay for the food. The car-hop came, tried it swiping it, it didn't work. She took it inside and swiped it, it didn't work. She came back out and said, "How about you just go ahead and take your food home, and then you can come back later and pay?"
I was in shock. Was she kidding me??? I had never heard of such a thing.
So, I took my food home, ate dinner and then 2 hours later went back with cash. The same girl came out to take my cash, and was like, "We appreciate so much you coming back to pay!" I knew they hadn't expected me to come back, most people would have thought that they lucked out and got a free dinner!
It felt good driving home . . . like it used to be when people actually trusted you to keep your word. And you valued having an honest reputation.
Wish we could go back to living like that . . .

Yay Jessica!! Hehe!
glad to hear it...
wow! That's awesome! :) I've never heard of that either. What a good way to share the gospel as well, and why we should do right.
This story made makes me smile... :-)
