Christmas Traditions: part 1

So I said that I would be posting some of our family traditions over the next few days, so here is the first one.

Movies:
My family has several movies that are clearly marked for Christmas ONLY, and we watch them in the few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas day. I thought I would share the list with you, and while we have watched these, I want to say that we have a TV Guardian (it takes out any bad or dirty language that might be in the movie, I HIGHLY recommend it for every family). And I rarely ever "recommend" a movie to anyone, because every family has their own standards and preferences for movies and I wouldn't want to offend anyone with these. But overall these are family friendly movies and probably you all have seen most of them :)
Favorites that we have been watching for as long as I can remember...
  • It's a Wonderful Life
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • Charlie Brown Christmas (I think this is my favorite!)

Others that have become favorites over the last few years...

  • Elf
  • Polar Express
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas
  • Home Alone 1,2, and 3
  • A Christmas Carol

And a new favorite that we added just this year that I will recommend... :)

  • The Nativity Story... This one was so good and I think it will quickly become my favorite. It was very well made and followed the biblical account almost perfectly. I have never seen such a moving portrayal of the birth of our Lord, if you haven't seen it then I will recommend this one and say "Watch it!".

Do y'all have any other movies that you love to watch this time of the year? Let me know!

Merry Christmas!

Hmmm, Christmas Shoes, Christmas Blessing, Christmas Child, and the best one is The Christmas Card. =)

I always love watching "It's a Wonderful Life." My family and I usually watch it some time during Christmas. I hope you have a Merry Christmas, Jessica!
