Christmas traditions: part 2

I was planning on having several posts of this nature and posting recipes and other random traditions that we have, but, the last few days have been so busy. They have been packed with shopping, cleaning, packing, practicing singing, working...and a million other things that have all led up to us being here at my grandparents house in Frisco, TX (but more on that later).


So I am just going to post one more tradition that we have and you will have to be satisfied with that :)


This is a tradition that we started about ten years ago. Every year after Christmas we all go shopping during the after Christmas sales and everyone gets to pick out an ornament. Then my mom packs it all away in our own boxes that she has labeled with our names.


And the point of all of this?


Well now, once we are all grown and married, we will each have a box of our own ornaments that we have collected since we were little to put on our own Christmas tree, and we won't have to start from scratch. I love it, and can't wait to use my ornaments on my own tree someday!


So that is all the traditions that I will be posting this year probably, and I want to remind you all that if you have any more traditions that you would like to share...you have until the 25th of this month to write me about it and then I will be picking my favorite and awarding them with a gift card of their choice :) (For more info on this go here to read my post about it.)


Also, we are at my grandparents for the rest of the week, and are already having a wonderful time! I will be posting pictures all throughout the week so be looking for them a little bit later :)
