hope.

Hope can be such a precariously happy thing.
You never know when the curtain will be
pulled away and you'll see
what you were hoping in
for what it actually is, a total sham.

[unless]

My hope is firmly attached to the
One thing or Person
that will never prove to be less than I was hoping,
but in fact will always be better
than anything I could ever ask or think.

That is, the personhood of
Jesus Christ.

["Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think...to Him be glory" -eph. 3:20,21]

Sunrise

It was so hard to drag myself out of bed the morning I shot these pictures, but O so worth it once I was done. It was beautiful that morning, so quiet and still. I love how you can see the sky and water come alive a little bit more in each picture as they go along.

All these pictures are straight out of the camera, no editing needed! The handiwork of my God is amazing!

"I am the LORD, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.

I will gird you, though you have not known Me,

That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting

That there is none besides Me.

I am the LORD, and there is no other;

I form the light and create darkness,

I make peace and create calamity;

I, the LORD,

do

all

these

things."

"Now it shall spring forth . . . "

15" I am the LORD, your Holy One,

The Creator of Israel, your King.”

16 Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea

And a path through the mighty waters,

17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse,
The army and the power

(They shall lie down together, they shall not rise;

They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):

18 “ Do not remember the former things,

Nor consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing,

Now it shall spring forth;

Shall you not know it?

I will even make a road in the wilderness

And rivers in the desert.

20 The beast of the field will honor Me,

The jackals and the ostriches,

Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,

To give drink to My people, My chosen.

21 This people I have formed for Myself;

They shall declare My praise."
Psalm 43:15-21

This is what My God has done for me. Today my heart is singing with the Psalmist "I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High."

He has done GREAT things!
